On February 27th, Assisting Hands Home Care in Schaumburg enjoyed hosting a Caregiver’s Coffee Talk in which we discussed “Be at Your Best to Provide Your Best.”
During the talk, our caregivers had expressed their love for their jobs and how much they enjoy helping others. But the main focus was how they remain motivated during tough times and working long hours when providing home care to clients who require extra special attention.
Caregiver Topics of Discussion
Below are the following topics that were discussed to improve our home care services as well as how our caregivers remain passionate about their careers:
- Remember why you chose to be a caregiver
- Connect with peers
- Stay active
- Get enough rest
- Develop a morning routine
- Set goals
- Take a deep breath
As some of our caregivers are new, this talk was also a great way for them to gain some insight on the experiences of our veteran caregivers. They had shared some key tips from their caregiving experience, including steps to take in difficult situations, how to improve a relationship with a client, and healthy meals to prepare.
Overall, the coffee talk was a fantastic event as we look forward to hosting another in the near future!
