At Assisting Hands, we believe that employees are the heart of what we do. Each month, we proudly recognize one exceptional team member who goes above and beyond. This month, we are honored to celebrate Andrea, whose dedication, leadership, and compassion shine in everything she does.
Andrea’s Journey
Andrea began her caregiving journey in 2018, after a family friend encouraged her to apply at a nursing home. That opportunity sparked a passion, and soon after, she discovered the world of home care, where she found her true calling. Andrea says: “I fell in love with the one-on-one attention and personalized care you can provide to each client.”
Her talent and commitment led her into an office leadership role four years ago, where she continues to grow and make a profound impact.
Andrea’s Role & Impact
Andrea’s main role at Assisting Hands is hiring and training employees—a responsibility she takes very seriously. She is known for going above and beyond to connect with each team member and ensure they’re fully prepared to meet and exceed client expectations. She brings a positive attitude, always keeps a smile, and fosters a welcoming environment for both staff and clients. Her leadership helps set the tone for excellence and compassion across the agency.
Why She Loves What She Does
When asked what she enjoys most, Andrea shared: “Being of service for others who need it. Learning and gaining new perspectives from each client”. Her heart-centered approach makes a meaningful difference in the lives she touches—every single day.
Making a Difference
Andrea also focuses on building a team aligned with the agency’s mission: “I look for individuals who have a genuine passion for serving others and are committed to ensuring clients receive the care they deserve”. Her work strengthens the entire team and elevates the quality of care for the families we serve.
Life Beyond Caregiving
When she’s not working, Andrea enjoys roller skating, bodyweight training, and spending time with her family. She is deeply committed to personal growth, both mentally and spiritually, which reflects in her leadership style and how she supports those around her.
Andrea’s Advice to Fellow Caregivers
“There will come a time when you or someone you love might need care. Make sure the care you give is the kind you’d want for yourself or your family. Treat every client with the same respect, compassion, and attention you’d hope for in that situation.”
We’re incredibly lucky to have Andrea on our team. Her presence, passion, and professionalism inspire us all. Congratulations, Andrea! You are truly a leader and caregiver worth celebrating.
