Maria Ramirez is our February Caregiver of the Month for the Schaumburg Area. She went above and beyond her duties with a client this month that was admitted to the emergency room. Maria waited for the client at the ER and when the client was discharged, brought them back to their home and made sure they were safe and comfortable all while working over her normal scheduled hours.
About Maria
Maria became a certified nursing assistant in 1987 and is one of our most experienced caregivers. Maria decided to become a CNA when she saw an ad in a 1987 newspaper to become a certified caregiver. She became intrigued and decided to enroll. After becoming a caregiver, Maria grew to love it; she loves that it feels like she is taking care of her own family.
In her free time, Maria likes to cook. Her children are grown and have kids of their own and she loves to spend time with everyone. Maria also likes to read and do puzzles. A long-term goal for Maria is to retire early at age 62. She wants to eventually return to her home of the Philippines and spend the rest of her life retired there. Congratulations, Maria, for being our caregiver of the month for February. We are happy to have you on our team!
